This post is part of a series that tours the Magic Kingdom from A to Z. For other posts in this series, click here.

The twelfth stop on our tour through the Magic Kingdom is a small snack stand located in what is essentially the middle of Tomorrowland: The Lunching Pad at Rocket Tower Plaza.

When compared with all of the other snack stands in the Magic Kingdom, The Lunching Pad stands out among the rest for three reasons: location, location, location. Rocket Tower Plaza is, for all intents and purposes, situated in the middle of Tomorrowland, so it’s only a short walk from all of the land’s attractions.

Additionally, because The Lunching Pad is situated beneath Astro Orbitor (formerly Star Jets) and the Tomorrowland Transit Authority (formerly WEDWay PeopleMover) the area is very well shaded for guests wanting to slow down and enjoy their snacks. When compared with the limited, poorly shaded seating at nearby Enchanted Grove, The Lunching Pad wins hands down.

Like most snack stands, The Lunching Pad’s options are limited but the menu contains two of the Magic Kingdom’s most popular snacks: smoked turkey legs ($6.59) and cream cheese pretzels ($4.29), with the latter available as snacks on the Disney Dining Plan. Other menu items include chips, frozen drinks (Solar Coca-Cola, Cherry Eclipse and Blast-Off Blue Raspberry), milk (regular and chocolate, either whole or soy) and the usual assortment of soda, water, coffee and tea.

The next time you find yourself waiting for the rest of your group to ride Space Mountain, stop by The Lunching Pad and enjoy one of their wonderful snacks!
