After our ride on Cinderella’s Golden Carrousel, it’s off to Adventureland to enjoy a cool, refreshing snack: a Dole Whip. Until recently, Dole Whips could only be purchased at Aloha Isle, a small, easy to miss snack building located on the right as guests enter Adventureland from Main Street, U.S.A. (Dole Whips can now also be purchased at Captain Cook’s Snack Company, a counter service restaurant in the Polynesian Resort).
Aloha Isle, sponsored by the Dole Food Company, has a menu that includes some fantastic snacks, many of which can be purchased using Disney Dining Plan snack credits:
- Dole Whip Soft Serve (pineapple, vanilla, chocolate, or swirl)
- Citrus Swirl – Frozen Orange and Vanilla Soft Serve Ice Cream
- Pineapple Float – pineapple or orange Dole Whip with pineapple juice
- Coke or Root Beet Float with vanilla Dole Whip
- Fresh Cut Pineapple Spear
- Assorted Chips
- Pineapple Juice
- Orange Juice or Apple Juice
- Hot Cocoa, Hot Tea
- Nescafe Coffee
- Smart Water
- Bottled Water
- Coke, Diet Coke, Sprite, Root Beer, or Minute Maid Light Lemonade
As you can see from the menu, the term Dole Whip is used broadly to describe any of the soft serve ice cream sold at Aloha Isle. When guests refer to the Dole Whip, however, they are typically referring to one of three things: pineapple soft serve, pineapple and vanilla swirl soft serve or pineapple float with pineapple or vanilla soft serve (commonly called a Dole Whip Float). My personal favorite is the pineapple and vanilla swirl Dole Whip, but the Dole Whip Float is also enjoyable.
I highly recommend trying a Dole Whip the next time you visit the Magic Kingdom. If you’re with multiple people, I suggest that one person gets in line to order while the others scout for some seating in the shade. There’s some diagonally across from Aloha Isle, but it is typically already taken by other guests, so you may need to look elsewhere, perhaps the Jungle Cruise’s covered queue.

One of the most delicious things ever! I had first experienced these in Hawaii at the Dole Plantation, not realizing they were available at WDW. Now that I’ve found them, I make sure to stop by and enjoy one on each trip!
I still love Dole Whip, but I hope WDW doesn’t think we didn’t notice how it has changed over the years. You used to get a wedge of fresh pineapple as a garnish on top!
